We’ve faced many challenges in doing the work we do at @seebetterlearnbetter, but videos like this remind us why we keep pushing forward. Can you imagine how many Jamaican children may be experiencing a blurry world, just like Howard did? There’s nothing quite like the moment a child realizes that they can see the world in a whole new way; more clearly, more confidently, and with greater possibility. ❤️ And honestly, that moment is our reward. It’s the reason @seebetterlearnbetter exists and continues to do what we do. Thank you, @amysabellamalone, for capturing and sharing this beautiful moment.
It sounds pretty simple; vision is fundamental to learning, yet thousands of children getting ready to resume school in September, have never been vision screened. Spread the word! There’s a registered nonprofit organization in Jamaica that promotes healthy vision and provides comprehensive and sustainable eye care for school children in 19 schools in Westmoreland and Hanover! Wouldn’t it be amazing to be able to do this all across the island!?
