EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

As a pediatric optometrist and clinical educator, my passion for See Better. Learn Better stems from our commitment to building sustainable, local vision care networks that keep kids thriving in the classroom. Our model goes beyond immediate eye exams to actively train the next generation of Caribbean eye care professionals, ensuring that the gift of clear sight remains accessible to these communities for years to come. Witnessing the immediate transformation when a student sees the world clearly for the first time is why this work is so vital.

DIRECTOR

Anika Robinson is a passionate television producer, entrepreneur, and storyteller based in Kingston, Jamaica. Born and raised in rural Westmoreland, she developed a strong appreciation for community, resilience, and service from an early age.
Her involvement with See Better Learn Better is deeply personal and driven by a desire to give back to Jamaica in a meaningful way. The organization’s mission to provide vision screening and eye care services to children in underserved communities resonates strongly with her because it serves many of the same communities that reflect her own upbringing.
For her, this work is about more than improving eyesight—it is about helping to unlock potential.

DIRECTOR

Amy has spent over 20 years working in the eyecare industry, and in 2015 started volunteering in Jamaica with See Better Learn Better, an experience that sparked a lasting passion for children's vision health and its role in student success and access to education.

As a director of See Better Learn Better, Amy proudly champions the organization's community-centered approach. With a deep belief in being led by the communities we serve, she finds it meaningful to support work that creates real, lasting impact.

TREASURER

Dr. Paula Kelbley is originally from New Riegel, OH and currently resides in Columbus, OH. She works in a private practice setting in Columbus, with an emphasis on seeing pediatric patients. She became involved with See Better. Learn Better in 2018 during her residency and remains involved because of the strong relationships she's built with the students at Mt. Airy and Negril All Age Schools. She's been assigned to these two schools for several years now, and caring for these students each year feels no different than caring for her patients in Columbus.

SECRETARY

Dr. Allison Davis is a residency-trained pediatric optometrist at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She values serving with See Better. Learn Better because it combines service with education. Her heart for outreach began in high school when she went on her first overseas mission trip and it has only grown since then. SBLB allows her to use her clinical skills as a way of serving children that have limited access to healthcare. Dr. Davis is also passionate about teaching and SBLB’s commitment to sustainability gives her the opportunity to educate optometry students from both the U.S. and the Caribbean.
